Staci is our giraffe-loving Engagement Support Worker and a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). She has been part of Sense Inclusion since 2021 and brings experience from care, social support and specialist education settings.
Staci holds a broad range of qualifications across Health & Social Care, learning support, sports and fitness and public services, alongside training in autism, positive behaviour support and medication administration. She has undertaken further specialist training in developmental trauma, PACE-informed practice, safeguarding and Children and Young People’s Mental Health First Aid.
Her areas of experience include:
Staci has experience within specialist autism provision and has continued to develop her education practice alongside her work at Sense Inclusion.
As a neurodivergent person herself, Staci brings valuable lived experience alongside her professional knowledge. She understands that children and young people may experience, communicate and engage with the world differently and uses this understanding sensitively within her practice.
Staci has a particular strength in building relationships with children and young people who may be anxious, vulnerable or difficult to engage. Her lively personality, humour and ability to connect with young people help her create relationships in which they can feel comfortable, understood and accepted.
Her approach is warm, playful, child-led and relationship-based. She works closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to adapt support around each child or young person’s communication, regulation, sensory, emotional and learning needs.
Staci’s ability to connect with some of our most vulnerable children and young people makes her a highly valued member of the Sense Inclusion team.
