Sense Inclusion works with schools, local authorities and other professionals to provide specialist SEND intervention, including Therapeutic Alternative Provision, therapeutic support and individualised EOTAS packages. Before provision begins, we agree outcomes, support arrangements, funding, safeguarding information and review arrangements. Commissioners are provided with relevant safeguarding, compliance and quality assurance information to support due diligence and oversight.
Our referral process helps us determine whether Sense Inclusion can safely and appropriately meet the child or young person’s needs and whether suitable provision is available. Following review, we may request further information before preparing a written individual proposal and costings for the school, Local Authority or funding panel. Once accepted, we can plan introductions, transition and the start of provision. Every referral is considered on an individual basis.
Every placement or intervention begins with clear, agreed outcomes based on the child or young person’s individual needs and the barriers affecting their engagement with education. We work with commissioners, families and relevant professionals to identify what meaningful progress should look like. Progress is monitored and reviewed throughout, allowing support to develop as needs change and helping to inform future planning and next steps.
We support children and young people to make progress in a way and at a pace that is right for them. Progress may include greater engagement, group participation, therapy or OT, independence, reintegration, further education or an individualised EOTAS pathway. Next steps are always based on individual need, readiness and what is most appropriate for the young person.
