Shannon has become particularly skilled at connecting with some of the most vulnerable and initially difficult-to-engage children and young people referred to Sense Inclusion.
Her larger-than-life personality, warmth, humour and infectious laugh enable her to create positive relationships without placing unnecessary pressure on a young person. She uses shared interests, conversation, activities and humour to establish trust and gradually support greater engagement and participation.
Shannon brings energy, fun and personality to the team while remaining sensitive to the individual needs and emotional presentation of the children and young people she supports.
Her ability to make young people feel comfortable, accepted and genuinely pleased to engage has made her a valued member of the Sense Inclusion team.
