Service Co-ordinator

Katie Kirby

Katie is our Service Support Coordinator and plays a central role in keeping the day-to-day operation of Sense Inclusion organised, welcoming and running smoothly.

She brings previous administrative and customer-facing experience from roles with Thomas Cook and Parkdean Resorts, giving her strong organisational, communication and people skills.

Katie supports communication and coordination between families, schools, commissioners and the Sense Inclusion team, alongside helping manage the administration that sits behind individual placements and the wider service.

Her role includes:

  • Service and administrative coordination
  • Communication with families and professionals
  • Referral and placement administration
  • Scheduling and record keeping
  • Supporting compliance processes
  • Day-to-day operational support
  • Practical and creative activities with children and young people

Katie — or “Office Lady”, as she is affectionately known by the children — is much more than the person behind the desk. She knows the children and young people who attend Sense well and regularly gets involved in sessions and activities across the provision.

Katie’s approachable personality and willingness to get involved mean she builds positive relationships with children and families while also providing essential organisational support behind the scenes.
