She uses a combination of play, art, storytelling and talking therapies, adapting her approach to each child’s developmental stage, individual needs and preferred ways of communicating.

Alongside her therapeutic qualifications, Julia has a professional background in theatre and storytelling. For more than 20 years, she has developed creative projects that combine therapeutic practice with the arts, using fairy tales, story-making and storytelling to support emotional expression, reflection and connection.

Julia’s approach is warm, creative and relationship-focused, recognising the importance of emotional safety, trust and individual expression in helping children and young people explore their experiences and develop confidence.

At Sense Inclusion, Julia provides individual therapeutic intervention for children and young people, alongside parent and carer support. Her work contributes to our wider trauma-responsive and attachment-informed approach, helping children and families develop emotional understanding, strengthen relationships and support wellbeing.
