Flash is our Sports & Fitness Lead and has many years’ experience engaging children and young people in physical activity, including those with SEND, SEMH and complex additional needs.

Flash has undertaken additional specialist training in PACE, developmental trauma, Children and Young People’s Mental Health First Aid, and mental health and suicide awareness.
His areas of experience include:
Flash has a particular ability to engage children and young people who may previously have struggled to participate in traditional sports or structured physical activity. Sessions are adapted around the individual, using interests, relationships and achievable challenges to develop confidence, regulation, physical skills and positive experiences of movement.
Working alongside our Occupational Therapist and wider multidisciplinary team, Flash can incorporate OT recommendations and identified sensory and physical goals into appropriately planned activities and Sensory Fitness programmes.
Sport and movement at Sense Inclusion are about much more than physical fitness. Flash uses activity as a way to build relationships, support regulation, develop resilience and teamwork, increase self-esteem and help children and young people experience achievement.
