Caroline holds a Foundation Degree in Learning Support and is qualified as an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) and Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). She has undertaken further specialist training in children and young people’s mental health and developmental trauma and works from an attachment and trauma-informed perspective.

Caroline joined Sense Inclusion in 2022 and has played an important role in developing our Therapeutic Alternative Provision. She leads carefully planned small-group provision while also providing individualised support for children and young people requiring a more intensive approach.
Her practice is child-led, relationship-based and highly adaptable. Caroline is skilled at recognising when a child needs a different pace, approach or environment and adapting provision accordingly, rather than expecting the child to fit a predetermined programme.
Creative, calm and practical, Caroline has a particular strength in finding ways to engage children and young people who may previously have found education difficult to access. Her focus is on helping them feel safe, understood and successful, creating the foundations from which confidence, participation, learning and wider progress can develop.
