Her work has included supporting children and young people affected by SEND, SEMH needs, developmental trauma, care experience, disrupted education, offending risk and social exclusion.
Her particular areas of expertise include specialist SEND and alternative provision, therapeutic and trauma-responsive education, SEMH, safeguarding, SEN law, service development, multi-agency working, reintegration and preparation for adulthood.
Lucy holds a First-Class Honours degree focused on therapeutic alternative education, alongside professional qualifications and training across youth work, coaching and development, developmental trauma, DDP, children’s mental health, safeguarding and advanced SEN law.
As an adoptive parent, Lucy also brings lived experience of supporting children with complex needs. This combination of professional and personal experience has strongly influenced the development of Sense Inclusion’s child-focused, relationship-based and practical approach.
